Maine Wood-Fired Catering in Southern Maine – Grazing Stations

When you have a fun couple that loves to party and a wedding planner like Paula from A Family Affair collaborating with us…magic happens! We’d like to introduce you to one of our favorite styles of dining at your wedding…grazing stations! As more time goes on and more weddings happen year after year, trends inevitably change. We love unique ideas and ways to stray from the traditional sit down meal we are all used to. There’s nothing wrong with a plated dinner for your guests and we do that too, but if you would like a different experience continue reading!

Grazing stations are the ultimate way to kick off your celebration. Guests are free to roam around and pick up food at different stations as they so please. Chelsea and Austin, our bride and groom, chose quite the menu for their different stations. There were pork belly skewers, house salad, skillet fried corn bread, tuna poke stacks and more. The grazing stations paired with the amazing passed apps (I mean, did you see those lobster rolls and beer flights?!) was perfect for the atmosphere they were going for.

Whether you’d like to plan a seated family style meal for your guests or a free roaming grazing station menu, we’re here to help. Our versatile setup makes all sorts of ideas possible. To learn more about our grazing stations menu click here. No cocktail hour is complete without sips and apps, and don’t worry…we got you covered there too! Dates are filling up fast for 2020, so be sure to be in touch soon!

A big thank you to Maine Tinker Photography for the amazing photos! The vibe of Chelsea and Austin’s big day was just so perfectly captured!

Lobster Bake on House Island in Casco Bay

An island lobster bake off the coast of Maine…this is how we do it up folks! Wood-fired skillets roaring, guests greeted with passed apps and bubbly, and that delicious smell of smokey goodness. We are so excited about this promo film by Knack Factory of an event held at House Island in Portland, ME’s own Casco Bay. We just love how this film perfectly captures the vibe of the event from the travel over to the Island by ferry to guests walking off the boat being welcomed to the party. Thank you so much for the work you do!
