Wednesday August 14, 2019 our sister restaurant, Noble Barbecue, joined forces with A Family Affair and The Public Works for Noble Noodles – an Asian inspired pop-up dinner with a Noble Barbecue twist. Although the two businesses operate independently from one another, what happens behind the scenes is very much a collaborative unit. Food is prepared for both Fire and Company and Noble with the same attention to detail utilizing a lot of the same methods. When Noble Noodles came to be, it was the perfect atmosphere to drop one of our house skillets to work alongside the truck and get the job done. If you love the food Fire and Company serves up, you’ll LOVE Noble Barbecue.
The Public Works was such a fun venue to work and dine at. It is the perfect blank slate for any event right in the heart of downtown Portland, ME. Paula and her team from A Family Affair created such a fun atmosphere and even gave every guest a DIY paper crane making kit. Jamie from Cider House Designs crushed the floral game with some beautiful orchid centerpieces for the table which was set up to enjoy the meal family style (one of our favorite ways to eat). Half of the guests were lucky enough to enjoy the meal outdoors on what was a perfect Summer night.
The dinner included 5 courses thoughtfully prepared by Dean Sullivan, the face you’ll most often see manning the mobile Noble food truck. During dinner DJ Jon of K-Pop Maine played some k-pop favorites perfect for the ambiance of the event. We also can’t forget the amazing beer offerings to compliment the dinner, Austin Street Brewery was there with the suds to go along with the meal and it was just right! Check out the menu below:
