Ryan Carey has been honing his customer service skills since he was 14 years old, bussing tables at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham, Maine just outside of Bangor. His parents were also in the hospitality industry; you might say it runs in the family. Twenty-five years later, Ryan is still determined to deliver the best service possible.
Ryan founded Fire & Co. in 2014. The event catering company was originally a mobile wood-fired pizza concession business called Pizza Pie on The Fly, selling pizza by the slice at fairs and beer and music festivals — including not one, but two Phish festivals! Ryan was constantly getting requests to cater weddings, corporate events, and special gatherings, and so, the wood-fired catering company was born.
Over the years, Fire & Co. has evolved to offer more than just corporate catering, party catering, and pizza catering for weddings. We provide gracious service and elevated wood-fired comfort food presented in a unique and elegant way. Local ingredients are cooked on site and over wood, creating a fun, comfortable atmosphere and a dining experience that guests won’t soon forget.
Our team is composed of talented hospitality professionals with years of catering experience. Every team member goes above and beyond to give clients a satisfying and memorable experience, not just during their event, but leading up to it as well. We are quick to respond while communicating clearly and warmly.
We also care deeply about community relationships and strive to support the Maine economy while elevating the businesses and vendors we work with. That means partnering with Maine craft breweries, spirit distilleries, and farms, not to mention wedding barns, coastal inns, and other rustic wedding venues in Maine.
